Story

We are walking a marathon on October 4th to raise money for Grassroots. Grassroots believes that we can all make a difference; suicide can be prevented through open and direct conversations. That's why they've trained over 15,000 people in life-saving suicide prevention, self-harm and mental health awareness training.Your donation would help Grassroots fund places on their evidence-based suicide prevention training, particularly for service users of local charities who might otherwise struggle to access training. This will build vital life-saving skills in the community. What your combined donations could buy£30 funds a place on our half-day safeTALK Suicide Awareness course£80 funds a place on our one-day Suicide First Aid course£130 funds a place on our two-day comprehensive Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training course£450 funds an entire 1.5 hour Real Talk workshop for 16 participants

About the charity

We work to make sure nobody has to experience thoughts of suicide alone. We fight dangerous stigma that stops people talking about suicide. We teach communities to recognise and support those at risk. We develop new ways for people to get lifesaving support. Together, we can prevent suicide.
