Story
Hi everyone!
I am very excited to announce that I am running the London Marathon on 21 April 2013. I have been running for 2 years now and it has become a massive part of my life. I have to say I never thought I would see the day that I would run a full marathon but I am going for it! I have run around half a dozen half marathons now and I know that with extra training and dedication I can do this. I am a member of Plymstock Road Runners and with the support of others running the marathon I can reach my goal. I could not do it without them that is for sure!
I am running to raise money for St Luke's Hospice Plymouth. The support they offer to people with cancer is invaluable. I have known a number of people who have been cared for there, but most recently one of my Husband's friends was looked after at St Luke's, she was only 31, at the start of her life and recently married. She sadly passed away in August. St Luke's care for terminally ill patients and their passion and dedication is to offer dignity and choice. The vision of St Luke's is to provide the very best of care to those with a life limiting illness and to support their families, whenever and wherever they need it.
