Story
I have set myself a goal to run 1000km during 2022. To add to my motivation I decided to raise funds for a wonderful charity - Cystic Fibrosis Trust.
Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a genetic condition which causes sticky mucus to build up in the lungs and digestive system. Cystic fibrosis comes with challenges, affecting our physical health, mental wellbeing and how we choose to live our lives. But our community is uniting towards the ultimate goal of effective treatment for all.
I will be taking part in organized races, local park runs, running group runs as well as solo adventures. Last year I completed just over 600km (solo running) after taking up running at the end of March 2021, so even with busy family life I should be able to achieve my goal.
