As some of you know, I am going to be running, yes "running", the Bupa Manchester 10k run on Sunday 16th May 2010.

The charity that I will be running for is the Alzheimer's Society which is a charity close to my heart. My Nanna was diagnosed with dementia back in 2007 and unfortunately passed away in November 2008. Since then I have raised money for the charity by doing a memory walk around Heaton Park and this is my second fund raising event for the charity.

The money donated to this charity funds important research that will help to improve the quality of life for people with dementia, by tackling questions related to the causes of dementia, investigating good practice in care and treatment, and pursuing a cure.
