Story
But at the same time, our staff have faced a 70% rise in referrals to our services this year - due to the neurological complications of Covid-19, increased mental health issues and social isolation caused by social distancing and shielding and a bleak unemployment landscape. More people with neurological conditions need help than ever before, so this December The Brain Charity needs your support.
I’ve been running off and on over the last few months and really enjoying it so when The Brain Charity’s Sixmas appeal came up I thought it would be good to do a running challenge to raise funds - and Tui was thinking the same too!
We are running to support the Sixmas fundraising campaign because one in six people have a neurological condition. Two (very!) amateur but keen runners, we are aiming to run 60 miles in a month (equivalent to 22 laps of Sefton Park) to raise at least £160 for The Brain Charity.
We'll be tracking out progress on Strava, and keep an eye on this page for updates!
