Our dear Tim fought a valiant fight against a very rare form of cancer, which started in his appendix. He underwent extensive treatment, such as chemotherapy, but it had already spread to the peritoneum. Due to the infrequency of those diagnosed with this type of cancer, there has been very little investigation into ways of effectively managing or successfully combating this particular disease; the closest chemotherapy available was developed for bowel cancer. Tim's family are very keen to raise money for further research into the treatment of peritoneal disease, to help prevent this illness from taking the lives of others.
