Story
We set of at midnight there were 1650 women taking part, the atmosphere was great and the first 5 miles soon passed, but I wasn't aware we would be walking on an upward incline a lot of the time. So the buttocks, knees and ankles were extremely streched and quite painful, but I wanted to finnish.
When I had completed 8 miles what kept me going was thinking about the people that had sponsored me & the bacon roll and filter coffee when we finished at Pret Manger. The last mile was the worst but when we arrived back at the the end there were people cheering us on and it was a wonderful feeling and I was so proud of myself as I have never walked that far before.
They hung a midnight moo medal around our necks and off we went for our food & drink. No bacon roll we settled for a ham sandwich. I arrived home at around 5.30 and charlie took a couple of photos of me with my face painted. I will add them for you to see.
Many many thanks for the people who have sponsored me allready and its not too late for the people that havent had the time to look at my page yet. it is www.justgiving.com/joan-prince

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
When I decided to apply for the welcome pack to participate in the 10 mile walk, I wasn't really aware of just how much money this hospice charity needs to finance its charity each and every year.
The government provides 23% of there much needed funding, the rest they have to generate thamselves. Throughout the year they have several fundraising events and midnight moo is one of them.
£50 could pay towards a childs berevement counselling session. £90 Will cover the cost of a staff nurse for 1 shift & £360 provides care for a patient for 1 day so you can see why I would like to raise as much money as I can.
So your kind donations when you sponsor me will go to help many people that require the services of the hospital at home team or a stay in the hospice.
On Monday the 25th June 2012 my brother in law george passed away he was in a hospice and he received wonderful care.
So please if you can donate it would be very much appreciated by myself and willen hospice. I am aiming to raise at least £300 pounds with your help.If I manage to go over my Target that would be wonderful. Many thanks to those people who have started my fundraising. I will keep you all updated.
Regards Joan
