We are the MS Society. We are strong enough to stop MS together.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my Half Marathon page.

On the 26th May I am hoping to complete my first ever half marathon. Last year on the day of the Marathon I promised my son Sam that I would do it this year, so here I am. Any donation however small would be appreciated and encourage me to make it to the finish line.

I am raising money for the MS Society as they have helped my sister so much over the last couple of years. My sister Sarah was diagnosed with MS 2 years ago and now finds herself in a wheelchair most of the time when her legs don't work. Her little boys George and Henry aged 6 and 5 have been very brave supporting their mum.

The MS Society fund activities which allow her to get out and enjoy herself. She goes carriage driving every fortnight and will soon go on an activity weekend away.

The MS Society also fund housing alterations and provide support around the home. Alongside this they run local groups - my sister attends one for mums. They provide a national 24 hour helpline and put millions into research to find a cure for MS.

Many thanks again for your support, I'll keep you all posted about how I actually do.
