Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Its 9 months after our daughter Elsie Rose was born 10 weeks premature whilst we we're on holiday. It was quite a shock but she received such amazing care from Chichester neonatal unit before being flown to Calderdale neonatal unit in a specialist helicopter at 1 week old where she stayed until she was 6 weeks old and came home to us tiny but fighting fit (I hope you like the pic of us all the day we brought Elsie home at 6wks). During Elsie's hospital stay the neonatal units amazingly helped Elsie to survive and adapt to the outside world through ventilators, incubators, and amazing round the clock specialist medical care.
My husband Leo and Elsie's big sister Gracie and I would love to raise some money and help to contribute to the wonderful work Bliss do in supporting babies such as Elsie and families such as ours. Hence my decision to take part in a triathlon after some recent and rather patchy training but in the hope that some of you very kind people might sponsor me for doing so! I will admit that there is a very distinct possibility that I could come last, Leo finds it hilarious that I seem to have a fear of going fast downhill on a bike and I've only just learned how to ride with cleats (shoes clipped to the pedals)but hey ill give it a go to raise some pennies for a wonderful cause.
Thank you for reading
