Story
Having ran a few marathons before, I have wanted to run London for a while and I am so excited to take on this challenge whilst raising money for a very worthwhile charity.
I have chosen this charity as I have been personally affected by this horrible disease, having lost 2 grandparents to lymphoma.
Having worked in haematology for over 7 years I see the devastating impact that haematological cancers have on individuals and their families. Treatments have come such a long way thanks to vital research and it is incredible to see these in action. Further research is still needed and I want to do my bit to help this happen and to improve the lives of those affected by blood cancer.
We're a community dedicated to beating blood cancer. We do this by funding research and supporting those affected. Since 1960, we've invested over £500 million in blood cancer research, transforming treatments and saving lives. Right now, our community is funding 360 researchers and staff across the UK who are searching for the next breakthrough. The day we will beat blood cancer is now in sight and the researchers are determined to finish the job.
