So why am I doing this.  I am 50 this year - eek.  I need to lose weight - double eek.  I thought I would combine my dieting efforts to raise money for charity.  For the purposes of this fund raising request I am hoping to lose 21lbs and have planned a time limit of the end of April.  I am hoping to make my 50th year a memorable one and helping others has become an important part of that.  A friend, Barbara, works for the charity Dentaid and organises voluntary charity trips to Uganda and I am hoping to go on a trip with her in September.  I am not good at asking people for money but I am hoping that you will help me with such a worthwhile cause.
