I have been a Lend with Care supporter for a couple of years. I love that this amazing charity gives people the chance to take control of their own development and to be become independent without being exploited by profit making money lenders. It also enables people like me to become aware of and involved in their plans by contributing towards the loans they need to get going. There are some amazing people working hard to build better lives for themselves, their families and their communities.

I also LOVE cycling. For me, there is nothing better than wandering and exploring on my bike.

When I saw details of the Lend with Care cycle challenge my initial thought was “Oooh exciting but way too scary “. I have never travelled
further than Europe. I have never cycled long distances in hot humid conditions in what for me would be a different world.

However, my target for 2019 is to be braver and not be
hindered by too many “What if……

And so I signed up.

I am still scared but what an amazing opportunity to raise
more money and meet some of the entrepreneurs in Cambodia and Vietnam who
benefit from the loans and the work of Care International.
