Story
I met my friends Carolyn and Stephen when we were all in our twenties. Teenage Cancer Trust supported their daughter, Lulu, who was diagnosed with cancer when she was only sixteen. Lulu died on New Year's Day. Teenage Cancer Trust worked, cared, laughed and cried with Lulu and all of the family throughout her illness.
This September, I will be completing 28 miles to represent the 28 hospital units around the country, where Teenage Cancer Trust nurses and youth workers care for young people facing cancer. Every day, seven young people aged 13-24 hear the words you have cancer. They will each need specialised nursing care and support to get them through it. Teenage Cancer Trust is dedicated to meeting this vital need so no young person faces cancer alone.
