Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
A few months ago my sister was given the devastating news that she had stage 3 breast cancer. She is currently half way through her chemotherapy treatment. It’s been a really hard journey for her and her poor body has taken a real pounding, just when it really needs to pull out all the stops for her.
As a family we’ve been on the journey with her every step of the way and because of this my son, Max, came to me saying he wished to raise money for Cancer Research to help people like his Auntie Katie, to find a cure for this truly awful disease..
He’s given himself the challenge of walking/running/cycling 1000k in 2021. To put this into context, the competitive athlete time for a 13 year old to run 1km is 5 minutes. This means, that for an athlete to run 1000km would take around 83 hours/3.5 days of non stop running. Max is absolutely passionate about raising money and this was all his own idea. He wanted to do something that would stretch him to prove he is worth your pennies and I have every confidence he will complete this challenge and make us all proud.
