Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I've always wanted to run the London Marathon and decided 2019 is the year! Deciding which charity to run for was a bit of a no-brainer. I've always loved dogs and have worked at Dogs Trust for the past 5 years as an Education & Community Officer, teaching children about responsible dog ownership and safety around dogs. I have my own rescue dog, Paddy, who truly is my best friend (and visits schools with me for work). Dogs Trust is working towards the day when all dogs can enjoy a happy life, free from the threat of unnecessary destruction and does so much incredible work to improve the lives of dogs now and in the future. I want to do my bit in supporting this and helping to ensure that all dogs can live as happy a life as my Paddy pup :)
Running 26.2 miles is not going to be easy and I've already started my training. If you'd like to keep up to date with how it's going- and the adventures Paddy and I are having along the way- then please check out the blog I've just started to document my journey: runningwithmydog.home.blog
If you're able to donate anything at all towards my cause I'd very much appreciate it (and it'll help get me through the inevitable long, wet, cold winter runs I've got to come!). Here's an idea of how donations can help the lovely doggies at Dogs Trust:
£1-5 can buy the dogs some tasty treats
£12 can buy a dog a microchip
£18 can buy a dog a cosy bed
£20 can pay for a dog's vaccinations
£21 can buy the special formula needed by puppies
£40 can pay for a dog's training classes
£90 can pay for a dog to be neutered
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Thank you so much! x
