Story
Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever. Until the day we find a cure, we will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.
Well... where do I start... over the past 15 years Jo has under gone a HUGE amount of treatment and operations in and out of hospital. Everything from keyhole surgery to the back of her eye, fluid on the brain, thyroid operations and the list goes on. In 2012 Jo was only given a short time left and had to under go further hospital time and operations. To top this off, we agreed to get married within 3months, Move house and get a dog! above everything Jo kept going and fighting back. AMAZING !
The last 12 months have seen her battle AND WIN!! Cervical Cancer. While doing this, again kept up with a full time job working over 50hr a week and only having 10 days off for chemotherapy. She is amazing, I know!!
We now come to the last three months and finding out Jo now has early stage Alzheimer’s at the age of 30. A massive step back from everything that has happened over the last few years. She is remaining strong and willing to stand up and fight back and prove this illness wrong!
All this while also having to live with ME & Alfie Honestly don't know how she does it!
SOOOOO... we have a deal, that if I can raise £3000 or more she will do a SKY DIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. ( I may point out she is scared of heights! )
Please give GENEROUSLY for this amazing women and charity!!!
