Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

After many years of skipping P.E. classes, I have been pursuaded to enter my first half marathon!  I believe my friend brought the idea up after a few glasses of wine, at which point anything sounds like a good idea!  So I bought a pair of running shoes and started training.

I have decided to run in support of the Cancer & Bio-detection Dogs charity.  This is a fairly small charity that relies totally on public generosity.  They train specialist dogs that detect the odour of human diseases, such as cancer and diabetes.  I really feel passionate about this charity and believe that it is the way forward in enhancing the quality of the lives of adults and children suffering from such illnesses.

To find out more about the charity please visit their website: www.cancerdogs.co.uk or you can search the BBC website to find a recent news report.

As my friends and family will know, completing the half marathon will be no mean feat for me!  I would be grateful for your sponsorship and in return will promise not to pass out half way round the course!!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

Many thanks
