Story
Thanks for visiting our page. We are raising money for the British Heart Foundation's research and we would be so grateful for your support. We are completing this challenge together for the ones we have lost and for the amazing help the BHF has done personally for Nancy.
Nancy - 'I was born with a heart condition called Fallot Tetralogy, which basically means that I was born with a hole in my heart. I underwent open heart surgery when I was three and have been under the care of the Royal Brompton Hospital my whole life. In 2013 I underwent further surgery to correct aortic stenosis. Thanks to the BHF (and of course the Royal Brompton Hospital) I have been able to live an active life. By taking on this challenge I am able to give something back'.
Jo - 'I am taking on this challenge and raising money in the memory of my loved ones who have sadly passed and for my gorgeous friends who have had undergone heart surgery. I lost my Dad in 1998 at the age of only 52 and there is so much he, myself, my brother and his grandchildren have missed out on. I am also doing this for my Granddad (George) who I was too young to remember and for my Grandma (Mary) who underwent heart surgery which extended her years but unfortunately passed in 2017'.
'We want to raise as much money as possible for this amazing charity and would appreciate even a penny in sponsorship....The more money we raise the faster we shall walk!!! Thank you in advance! '
The BHF has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK but sadly every day hundreds of people lose their lives. It's only thanks to support from people like us that the BHF can create new treatments and discover new cures. £24 could pay for two hours of research by an early career scientist, but every pound helps so please give what you can to help us hit my target. Thanks!
