Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I decided earlier this year that I would like to try running a marathon before I turn 50. As I’m in the zone with running right now, having run 3 of my 6 half marathons run to date in September 2018 alone, I felt there was no time like the present! It had to be the London Marathon just in case I'm only ever to run the one...
I'm lucky to have some awesome training buddies that I have met through regularly attending Triumph Fitness bootcamps over the last 4 years. Lucy, Alyssa and Michael are also running the London Marathon and all live in Potton so we can train together and help each other get through the long winter runs and the inevitable bad running days. It's the first time three of us will have run the London Marathon and the first time two of us will have ever run a marathon at all.
Many of us are running the CRUK 10K Winter Run in London in Feb 2019, then the Cambridge Half Marathon in early March 2019 and a 20 mile run in Milton Keynes later in March, all perfectly mapped out to keep us on track with training and to take us up to the big event on Sunday 28th April 2019.
I am running the London Marathon 2019 for Deafblind UK, the charity we all ran the Great North Run for in September 2018. Deafblind UK is a national charity supporting people with combined sight and hearing loss to live the lives they want and feel less isolated.
