I am running (or attempting to run!) this year's Half Marathon to raise funds for the new Cardiac theatre at Birmingham Children's Hospital. I have a huge advantage over other fundraising projects as I will see how the money is being spent and the huge benefit the children of Birmingham, West Midlands and further afield will have. It will fill me with pride to work in the theatre that my sponsorship money has helped to build.

P.S. I didn't sponsor myself.... I got chatting to a gentleman in Cannon Hill Park back in July when I started running. He kindly handed me a £5 note on my second lap. Thank you Alan Williams from Moseley. I went on to do another lap with a big grin on my face thinking how generous of this lovely man.
