Story
Well its finally all over and what a brilliant day it was!
I completed the race in 4 hours and 41 minutes, which I was really pleased with.
Everyone says that the crowd keeps you going and it was certainly true on Sunday. I can't believe the sheer number of supporters who turned up to support everyone and kept their cheers of support going for so many hours.
If ever you have thought of doing the London Marathon, you should do it - it will be one of the best days of your life. I must be proof that if anyone wants to do it - they can!
Thanks to everyone who has supported me in every way - it really has made a difference.
If you still want to make a donation to help me get to 100% of my target, you still can. The charity I have chosen to run for, the Children’s Society, is committed to making childhood better in the for all children.
Your donation will make such a difference; here are a few of the ways that it could be used:
*£100 pays for a year’s travel costs, allowing a project worker to visit and befriend a disabled child in a residential care home.
* £250 pays for 15 disabled children to have a day out to the zoo or the seaside.
* £500 pays to keep an emergency help-line for young homeless refugees open for 5 days.
* £1000 pays to fund group work with 10 children coping with the trauma of looking after parents who abuse drugs or alcohol.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Thank you so much.
