Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. Before you dismiss this as "fundraising my holiday", have a little read.

In February 2015 I will volunteer for 3 months on a development programme in a rural village in Southern India. This is part of International Citizen Service (ICS), a Government funded scheme which brings young people together to fight poverty and make a difference in those areas which need support from the developed countries like ourselves. 

The charity are sending me to India in February 2015, but this is not where your money is going. I have been through a selection process and all my costs are paid for from elsewhere. However, part of my role is to fundraise for the charity to raise funds for their work, spread the word on the work that the charity undertakes, and to prove my commitment to the cause. 

Raleigh International specialises in water, sanitation and the sustainable use of natural resources. Your money will be directly placed into saving lives and improving the quality of lives in the poorest areas.
