Story
A few years ago, I went to Kenya with CAFOD as a volunteer. We visited the St John's Sports project that CAFOD supports in the Nairobi slum of Korogocho.
I got to meet Ruqia and Anne, who were both helped by the project. 10 years later, with children of their own, I met up with them again and saw how their lives have changed. Back at the project, there's also a new generation of children and young people using the project to improve their lives. Using the Library, learning computer skills and playing sports to bring the community together and increase their life chances.
But all this costs money...
On 4 October, I'll be covering the Marathon distance (26.2 miles) so if you can sponsor me, that'll help CAFOD to keep supporting this project and loads of others around the world.
Please support CAFOD. The work we are doing to help people effected by Coronavirus and poverty around around the world is vital and you will be a part of making that work happen.
