Story
After attending my first London Marathon last year, I found myself entering the ballot with some friends on somewhat of a whim. Fast forward six months and through the powers that be I have become ‘the chosen one’...a ballot spot in the worlds most over subscribed marathon.
I’m yet to decide if this is a blessing or a curse, however, come April of this year I plan to compete the 26.2 miles in aid of Great Ormond Street hospital - something that I feel is a truly worthy cause.
I was recently inspired by the ITV documentary that portrayed the daily trials and tribulations both staff and patients faced about the hospital. They do vital work to help support children you haven't even had a chance to live a life.
All your support, whether it's offering to go on a training run, cheering on the day with a beer in hand or dipping into your pockets would mean a lot to me. Your money will go towards research into illness, providing vital renovations and equipment as well as giving families a place to stay whilst their child is treated.
Thank you!
