Story

Part of me wishes I had looked this up online before eagerly sticking my hand up, but having seen videos of the challenge ahead I am still up for it.  BRING IT ON!!!

On October 24th I will be climbing the 250 steps to the top of Guildford Cathedral before abseiling 160 feet back down.  Just thinking about it makes my legs go a bit funny & the last time I abseiled was on a school trip in the lake district from a height of 3 metres, this is a bit different - check out the video to get a sense of what I can look forward to.

At work we have been doing loads to raise money for the RBL at work during this centenary year and this is my chance to do my bit.

Come and support on the day? There is a lot happening in Guildford on October 24 as it marks the date when the RBL will kick off its annual Poppy Appeal in Surrey.

Also happening that day is a display by Jump4Heroes (which Upgrade Options are sponsoring).  You can meet with the RBL Riders, watch the mass Navel Cadet Bands, be entertained by The Three Belles and lots more.

Find out more about them and the work that they do:

All sponsorship will be very gratefully received and well spent.  If you are a UK taxpayer please remember to tick the Gift Aid box.

Thank you, John
