Story
I recently completed the biggest challenge of my life to date...I cycled for 7 days through Kenya and Tanzania in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.
Before the challenge, I was aware of the work Macmillan do. However, spending 10/11 days with a Macmillan rep gave me the time to ask questions and learn more about the extent of their work. Couple that with the stories of almost 40 people I had never met before and you have the most eye opening experience you can imagine.
Everyone on the trip had their own history with Macmillan and hearing each account allows you to appreciate just how much Macmillan support those affected by Cancer. They are a widely known Charity, but they have to support a huge number of people every day, so the more I can promote them and raise for them, the better.
When I got back I started looking for the next challenge. Obviously fundraising is an issue, as I've not long bled everyone I know dry, so I have gone for a slightly lower minimum of £300. We will be setting off from Stratford in London and finishing in Brighton, which is 100km. Doesn't sound too hard, right? Well it's overnight and predominantly uphill. Who want's an easy life ey?!
I have managed to rope some of my girl firends in to join me, so together we will beat the hills and cross the finish line. Please help us raise lots for Charity so we at least have something to be happy about when we can hardly breathe half way up a hill...
Now let's get moving...DIG DEEP AND THANK YOU!!!
