We provide services and support to the visually impaired in the Fylde Coast

Story

Jim 81 from Lytham is one of our long-standing clients and a valued member of our community. He has set himself the challenge
of ‘Walking’ the 70 mile boundary of Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre which includes the 3 areas N-Vision serves. Jim is well known to the charity and likes to get involved in more ways than one. He is raising funds to enable the charity to continue to deliver their services for clients living with sight loss. He has chosen his start date as 9/9/2020 as this is a very special day to Jim, one he can’t forget! It is his 59th Wedding Anniversary! Jim himself is registered Severely Sight Impaired  but this isn't going to stop him doing his ‘Sponsored Walk’ on his treadmill from the comforts of his man cave at the bottom of his garden. Jim will use a coin to mark 88 yards and will do this 10 times over, adding up to a total of ½ a mile. He will do this 7 times a day, averaging 3.5 miles every day.
