Event: London Landmarks Half Marathon 2024, on 7 April 2024
Taking in London’s most iconic landmarks and the city’s quirky and hidden secrets, you’ll get to explore the capital on route like no other and help us go further, faster for everyone affected by a brain tumour.

Story

On 7th April I’ll be running the London Landmarks Half Marathon for the Brain Tumour Charity and raising money for a cause that is close to my heart.

In November 2022 my sister learned that she had a brain tumour and in March 2023 had awake brain surgery to remove it.

We are fortunate that her surgery was a success and was able to remove the tumour and since then Kate has made big strides on the road to recovery. But there is still an uncertain journey ahead and the emotional, physical and psychological impact of living with a tumour can’t be overstated.

Kate has shown the most incredible amount of bravery, courage, optimism and strength in the face of this challenge. All while continuing to be the most incredible mother, wife, daughter, sister and friend. She really is our hero <3

A days research into finding a brain tumour cure costs £2,740 and so Kate is on a mission to raise as much money as possible for charities working in this space. Me and my brother Ben want to do our bit and so are running for the Brain Tumour Charity on 7th April.

The Brain Tumour Charity is the world’s leading brain tumour charity and the largest dedicated funder of research into brain tumours globally. They offer amazing support services to help people and families affected by a brain tumour diagnosis, which has directly helped my sister and our family.

If you can, then please do sponsor me! We would be so grateful for any donations that you can make.
