Story
On 1st Feb 2020 , I lost my great mate Colin Broomfield aged just 52. . Colin was one of the good guys :great fun and a true friend . He was fit and healthy until he was diagnosed with a Glioblastoma brain tumour.
As part of TeamCB, a group of 14 of us, known as The Broom Wagon Wobblers , will be cycling 350km along the King Alfreds Way off-road trail.Every pedal we take will be for The Giles Trust and every pint we drink will be toasted to Colin.
We set off on May 20th after 1000s of miles of training in the wind and the wet hoping that the sun will shine upon us and keep the trails dry.
I am fundraising for The Giles' Trust, the Brain Tumour Research Fund at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham.Brain tumours are indiscriminate; they can affect anyone at any age. What’s more, they kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer... yet historically just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease.
100% of your donation will go directly to the The Giles Trust Charity. Thank you so much for your support.
