Story
I am taking on the challenge of running the iconic London Marathon to raise much needed and vital funds for Cornwall Hospice Care in April 2023. Help me to make a difference and keep the amazing nurses giving much needed care to those people living with a terminal illness in Cornwall right now.
My mum survived Breast Cancer in 1997 but has been living with lymphoedema ever since. The amazing team at Cornwall Hospice Care have been taking regular care of her for the last 25 years and counting. We are one of so many families that Cornwall Hospice Care has touched, whether it's through the therapy services like mum, or the amazing care they give to patients at their hospices.
It's been a dream of mine to run the London Marathon. I've been in the crowd many times and have cheered on my dad and close friends. It's a weird kind of envy when you see the pain on people's faces as they run but you still want to try it for yourself. But I'm excited to take it on.
Even though times are busy with two young boys, I'm excited to take on the training and give it a good go - even on the Cornish hills - and have some fun with fundraising events along the way.
Please give whatever you can spare, knowing you are making a difference to so many people here in Cornwall.
