Story
Hey guys, in just 4 (4!) weeks time I'll be taking part in one of the toughest physical challenges out there, Tough Mudder.
This is a 12 mile obstacle course involving lots of fire, electricity, ice-cold water and, of course, mud!
To train for this I'm hitting the gym 3 times a week to toughen up and get stronger. On top of that I'm running 6-7 miles in the muddy Nidd gorge (including jumping into the river!) 2 or 3 times a week as well as swimming after work at 7am on Sunday mornings. I'll try and keep this page updated with news/pics of how I'm getting on.
Originally this was just going to be for fun but I decided it'd be good to try and raise some money for charity doing this.
I'm now raising money for the Motor Neurone Disease Association as they gave some fantastic support to my close friend's father before he sadly passed away just before Easter this year.
They really are a fantastic charity that provide much needed support to people with MND, their careers, their family and their friends. They help with both day-to-day challenges that this condition brings, as well as providing funding and, crucially, the experience for solving some of the bigger hurdles that can occur.
I haven't set a target because I'm just hoping to raise as much as possible, but please dig deep for what is a very worthy cause and help me support this great charity. Thanks for donating guys!
