Story
Thank you for reading my
page.
We are running the Brighton 10k this year to support a charity close to my heart,
the Friends of Downs View School. This is an amazing special school that
supports a little 11 year old boy called Caleb (Matt's Son) who has profound and
multiple learning difficulties and disabilities including Blindness, Autism,
profound developmental delay.
Downs View School provides wonderful support and education for a huge spectrum
of children like Caleb and The Friends of Downs View School & Link College
Charity (established since 1992) fundraises for specialist equipment to support
these Children and Young Adults. The Charity provides social activities for the
students and their families and assists with the provision of educational
facilities which are not funded by the Local Education Authority. The committee
consists of Parents, Carers, Staff and Friends and is run entirely on a
voluntary basis. Michelle (Caleb's Mum) is Secretary of the Charity.
