Story
It’s walking time again, time to generate some contributions for the Humane Society for Greater Nashua. I’ve been volunteering there for 6 years, and I’m 100% behind their mission. We help animals and people in need, connecting them together.
This year we lost our eldest dog, Mick. So I’m walking in memory of him. He was a great dog, my buddy of 14 years. This one’s for you Mick.
Each year, this event helps Humane Society for Greater Nashua raise crucial funds which benefit animals awaiting adoption in our community. In 2021, there were 296 stray animals brought into the shelter as well as 158 owner-surrendered animals. They also saved 217 animals from high-kill shelters in the south. All of these animals require behavioral and medical assessment and many require medical care and training, making our fundraising efforts vital to providing the level of care we've become known for. This is why they are so grateful for those who pledge so generously to the Walk For Whiskers event and why it means so much to me to be able to help!Won't you join my walk team and help me raise money for this cause?
