Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Some of you may be aware that I have been in training to complete the Oulton Park Duathlon (4km run -21km bike -4km run) on 5th October 2014.

I have decided to raise much needed funds for Motor Neurone Disease Association & Team Blakeley.

MND is a progressive disease that attacks the nerves in the brain and spinal cord.  Although,  there is currently no cure for MND, symptoms can be managed to help sufferers achieve the best possible quality of life.

Team Blakeley was created,  following the death of my colleague’s brother-in-law, Stephen Blakeley at the age of 45. Stephen suffered with this devastating disease for 5 years; his wife and two children were his sole carers as Steve was a very proud man.

Steve lost his fight on 22-July 2013 and since then Team Blakeley have raised £19k in his memory to fund research into a cure & also to help those who are currently living with MND.

Please help this fantastic charity. Pledge what you can & I will do my best to finish (in under 1hr 50 minutes)!
