Six years ago my wife and I were impacted by the death of our first child, Olivia. As you can imagine this was a devastating experience and even six years on we feel the pain of her loss every day. Since our loss I have learned that baby loss is much more common than I had ever imagined.

I am running the Belfast City Marathon for two reasons. To raise vital funds for Sands as a thank you for the support they provided to us at our time of need and, to help them continue supporting those families who will be affected by baby loss in the future. 

I would really appreciate any donation to Sands no matter how small and if you manage to attend the Marathon on the 1st May please give my brother and I a shout out.
