Story
Post Marathon! Did it! I was rather slowed down by getting a touch of heatstroke which rather aptly kept me on the Isle of Dogs for a VERY long time (flat on my back in the St John's Ambulance area!) But I eventually made it to the finish line at my old doggies' latter day walkies pace with the thoughts of all your generous contributions firmly in mind...
Thank you again!
Calling all dog-lovers!
In January this year we lost both our darling old doggies Barney (the Beardie) and Albert (the Terrier cross) on the same day. They died peacefully and together - from old age and ill health - but they have left such a hole in our lives that I felt very strongly that I wanted to raise some money for the Dogs Trust who are so instrumental in looking after the many dogs who need help in this world.
Barney was a rescue dog and we inherited Albert from a lovely lady who was unable to carry on looking after him, but who had originally found him running along the road as a stray. They brought such a lot of love and joy to us in so many ways, and I feel every dog should have this chance of a happy home.
My fund raising is starting very late this year! Only 2 weeks to go till the marathon... so please don't delay - follow your heart and donate today!
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now to help rescue other dogs down on their luck. Most of them are just waiting for their chance to give you some love in return!
