Over the years I have organised various events for charity.  A few months ago a friend of mine, Steve asked if I would climb Mount Kilimanjaro with him.  I agreed but then panicked after reading all about it, LOL.    We agreed to walk the Sahara in 2020 as a build up and if we made it out in one piece then we would climb Kilimanjaro in 2021, so here goes to the start of our charity adventures. 

Unfortunately, due to Covid the walk has been postponed until Nov 2021 - but we are ready for the challenge more than ever now !!

This challenge is so out of my comfort zone, but I'm putting everything into finishing it.  

We will be walking the biggest hot desert in the world in 30 degree heat over 6 days, approximately 25 miles.  Camping overnight in 0 degrees (all wrapped up in our hats and gloves)   It will be tough going, but hopefully a year of training will help us finish it.   

Our new date is March 2022 - wish us luck !!
