Hike for Hunger

Lace-up your shoes, map out your path and hit the trails to Hike for Hunger! Not only will you get to soak in the beauty of the outdoors, but your hike can help The Giving Plate feed our neighbors in need here in Central Oregon.

Story

On September 19th 2020, I have committed to "Run for Hunger" to benefit Central Oregon's largest food pantry, The Giving Plate. I am committing to run a 3.1 mile loop on the Deschutes River Trail, starting at Farewell Bend Park. Start time for the run/walk is 8:00 am. I'm hoping you can join me by running or walking! I would love for you to help me reach my goal of $310.00 which will help The Giving Plate with their goal of raising $35,000. When you support me in my run you are also helping feed our neighbors in need. Locally founded in 2010, The Giving Plate is the largest food pantry in Central Oregon. We have three hunger-fighting initiatives, with a special focus on childhood hunger. We are passionate about creating a space that is warm, welcoming, & rich with hope. Together we can fight hunger & feed hope.
