Brighton to Eastbourne Walk · 31 March 2021

Our team provides response to search & rescue emergencies to search for vulnerable missing people. We provide nationally qualified search dog teams to support Sussex Police, or anywhere in the UK. We do this 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. All our team members are volunteers.

Story

On Saturday 21st August, Myself and my Partner Sam will be walking from Devils Dyke to Eastbourne along the South Downs Way. This is approximately 31 miles. I will be walking with a kit bag which will weigh 15kg. We will aim to complete this walk in 15 hours.

Your donation will make a huge difference to the communities in Sussex and neighbouring counties. It will help re-unite missing and vulnerable people with their families. Search & Rescue is an expensive business. We deeply appreciate any contribution, however small.

Our primary function is to provide response to Search & Rescue (SAR) emergencies in order to search for, rescue and recover those missing or in distress or potential distress. The missing people we are requested to search for typically don't know they are lost, or don't want to be found. Dementia, Mental Illness, Despondents are all very common reasons we get called out. The team is made up entirely of volunteers, who give their time freely. Serving the community & saving lives.
