Jess takes on the London Marathon

London Marathon 2019 · 28 April 2019 ·
26.2 miles seems like a very long way. Training hard for the next 5 months seems even more daunting. The nights are drawing in, it's cold and rainy, running is hard... it's going to be a slog.
Yep, I'm taking on the 2019 London Marathon.
I'm motivated by wanting to overcome mental and physical limitations, sure, most people silly enough to run a marathon probably are. But I'm also honoured to be taking on this challenge for an amazing cause - Leonard Cheshire.
Leonard Cheshire is a really important UK organisation that supports individuals to live, learn and work as independently as they choose, whatever their ability.
Led by people with experience of disability, not only do they provide services to support disabled people, but they advocate for a better society. A society in which disabled people are respected and empowered to live their lives as freely and fully as they want.
I'm privileged to be able to train for a marathon, and I'm lucky to be running for such an important cause. Please donate today! x
