Fundraising for The Jon Egging Trust
In three weeks, with no preparation, I am attempting to cycle 80 miles for charity…..and I’m looking for a few people to support me on the way…
JETRide 2021 is a charity cycle ride organised by the Jon Egging Trust, taking place on 26th September.
The charity was set up in memory of Red Arrows pilot Jon
Egging who tragically lost his life at the Bournemouth Air Festival in 2011. Jon was passionate about inspiring young people through his love of flying.
The Trust supports young people with low self-esteem and whose futures are jeopardised by life challenges which put them at significant risk of dropping out of full-time education. Over the past decade they have supported more than 30,000 such individuals through unique motivational, inspirational and confidence-building programmes which are delivered in partnership with schools and youth organisations across the UK.
It’s an extremely worthy cause and they need our help.
With less than three weeks’ notice I'm going to attempt to cycle 80 miles (aka 121 kms) on 26th September; fuelled by over-optimism and your kind donations. I have not been on the bike in 2021 and I've never ridden this far before so it’s a bit of a test.......fuelled by a few pieces of cake along the way and your kind support we can do this!
Please donate to help me survive and support a very worthwhile cause…
