At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

15 miles into my Brighton Marathon training and I have decided that it's TIME to begin fundraising.

The charity I am supporting is the Alzheimer's Society. One large reason being that my beautiful Grandma experienced a long battle with the disease and although she received impeccable care, more funding is needed to support the research.

The Alzheimer's Society is an organisation that works to improve the quality of life of people affected by dementia. There are currently 750,000 sufferers in the UK and this is projected to rise to more than a million people in the coming decade. Therefore, even if it is just a few pennies that you can donate to this cause, it will all go towards treating people today and finding a cure for tomorrow.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Many thanks and mucho amor,
