Story

Hi everyone, I will be running the London Marathon on 2 October 2022 and I will be raising money toward St Christopher’s School, a school based in Wrexham that cares for children with disabilities.

This is the school my mum worked for as a Teaching Assistant before she passed away last year.  Although my mum had not worked there for long before her passing, working for St Christopher’s School brought her so much joy and it was clear to see that she had really found something that she loved and was brilliant at.

There are no words to describe how difficult a year it has been for my family and I, but running and signing up for the marathon has really helped me in dealing with my grief, by providing me with the opportunity to focus on something positive. I hope that by raising proceeds to help support St Christopher’s School in the amazing work that they do in helping these children, I can help continue my mums legacy. The children at the school require a chill out area that can be catered specifically for their needs and I am hoping the funds raised from running the marathon can help to achieve this.

I will be posting updates on my progress in training and would be really grateful if you could support this by making any donations that you can.
