75th Anniversary VE Day Celebrations
(please watch video in HD and Volume turned up loud
)
Hi everyone... this is a first for me, I am very excited but also nervous to be putting on a 'Facebook Live - Mini Music Concert' on Friday 8th May at 3pm to celebrate the 75th VE Day Anniversary!!
Due to these very scary times, understandably all of my future performances have been cancelled including my most favourite time of year... singing VE Day songs for the people of Farsley at the
The Village Wine Bar. Therefore I have decided to move with the times and do the 'facebook live' thing and hopefully bring some VE Day pride into your homes.
I will be singing a range of 1940's/wartime classics including... There'll Always Be An England, Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy, War Time Medley and many more. I will also be finishing with my usual finale of 'Land Of Hope & Glory' so get your volume turned up full blast and sing along with pride!!!!
As you will be aware, all charities are losing lots of donations due to this global pandemic. We all need to do what we can to help raise funds and/or donate where possible, to help these charities keep going and doing the wonderful things they do.
I am putting on this mini concert in aid of the RAF Benevolent Fund and I hope you not only log on to watch me live, but also (if possible, I know times are hard) donate any amount you can to this wonderful charity. More details on how to donate will follow however watching my mini concert is FREE, you do not have to donate, only if you can or want to.
This is about bringing a little music and happiness in these difficult times and feeling a little more connected. It's about celebrating 75 years of pride and saying thank you to those who fought and died for us!
I hope you watch and join in.... I want to hear you all singing along
