In February 2021 I was admitted to hospital with severe abdominal pains and was diagnosed with 'Internal Shingles'. A particularly nasty form of the shingles virus, it attacks your organs and, when spread to your spine and brain, it can cause life altering damage.

I was incredibly lucky it was caught quickly and after 8 weeks I could return to my normal routine with only minor remaining side effects.

Many don't get that chance!

I'm raising money for Children's Hospice South West because they give exemplary support and care to children and families when they need it most.
