My attempt on Mount Kilimanjaro begins on 21st June 2013. It is something Ive wanted to do for a while now and something my dad knew I wanted to do. Im sure he would have managed it himself a few years ago! All being well I should make the summit at sunrise on the 28th June and can hopefully raise some money for St Peters Hospice who cared for my dad in 2011/12.   

My mantra, when Im struggling with altitude sickness and the cold, comes from the great Sir Edmund Hillary....."It is not the mountain we conquer but ourselves".
