As many of you know, I’m an avid runner and a member of the Fleet Feet Sacramento Racing Team. One of my goals is to complete the six World Major Marathons (Tokyo, Chicago, Berlin, New York, Boston, and London). I have been fortunate enough to complete Chicago, Tokyo and Berlin in the past 2 years and have been given the remarkable opportunity to run London in 2024 with a charity place. There were many organizations I could have chosen to fundraise for in order to be able to run the marathon but one organization stood out to me as being extremely worthwhile and deserving.

As a teacher, I have worked with students with many different physical capabilities. Getting to see them be physically active and participate in PE activities, recess games, and sports is always fun to watch! However, the reality is that not all kids are afforded those same opportunities especially if they have physical limitations and even more so if they need to use a wheelchair. 

I'm fundraising towards Whizz-Kidz' vital services for young wheelchair users. Please sponsor me and help Whizz Kidz  create opportunities for young wheelchair users to get the equipment, skills, and confidence to go further in life. It's unacceptable that young wheelchair users face so many obstacles in their lives. From inaccessible spaces to negative attitudes, it's time to change the status-quo urgently. With your support, we can create a world where every young person can reach their full potential.
