Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As someone who is young, fit, and healthy, being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis has come as a shock and I’m so lucky to have Connor and my amazing family and friends. The treatment I’ll be having is relatively new and new studies are continuously going on- I’ve recently volunteered to take part in a study into links with viruses and MS. I want to fundraise for the MS Society for research and support and hope that in the near future there will be a drug that will entirely halt and reverse damage of attacks.
I am running 2 half marathons this year and want to use them to raise money for MS research. In addition, I am giving up refined sugar for the whole of May as part of the MS Society's Kiss Goodbye to MS initiative. As anyone who knows me will attest to, I have such a sweet tooth! It will be a struggle to give up sugar for a whole 31 days, dodging office biscuits and baking. If you could just donate the cost of a packet of biscuits I would be very grateful!
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
UPDATE: Due to a relapse affecting my mobility I had to withdraw from May's Sunderland Half Marathon. I am focusing on the GNR now! And giving up sugar was a success, thanks to everyone who donated- I very much enjoyed my Percy Pigs on the 1 June!
I've started a blog about living life througnh the MS Lens, which can be found here: https://msjesssy.wordpress.com/
