Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

So.... I have decided to complete a personal challenge of mine... I am walking from my home address in Huddersfield to Bridlington sea front, I have planned that this should take me 2 days with a one night stop over along the way, as I am doing this by foot its approx 26 hours, what better way to finish a grueling walk than a blast of fresh sea air! here's the reason why I am doing this:

Exercise is known to release serotonin, the feel good hormone, you know what people say right? "go for a walk get some fresh air, brush of the cobwebs" and its true, walking does make you feel better in yourself and releases chemicals to combat feeling down. It may not cure depression but it sure helps.

We all know of someone with some sort of mental health struggle, maybe its you? a friend? family member? Its life.

we all go through some sort of  difficult stage in our lives, whether its OCD, Anxiety, post natal depression, bereavement, anything! we have all been there and if you haven't yet, the possibility is strong that one day you will. Short or long term illnesses can be equally as distressing.

The Samaritans are a fantastic charity helping people 24/7 with everyday life when things just get a little too much. If you cant speak to a friend of family member, pick up the phone, sometimes its easier to speak to someone who doesn't know you.
