London Marathon 2017

London Marathon 2017 · 23 April 2017 ·
Hi there,
For those of you who don't know me, my name is Jessica, a 24 year old Aussie currently living in London. I have never ran more than 5km, however I have decided to take on the Virgin Money London Marathon and raise money for the Starlight Children's Foundation.
On the 22nd August 2013, my little sister Victoria De Bellis aged 17 years old departed this life and entered eternal life after battling cancer since the age of 3.
For those of you who have experienced it themselves or watched another love one suffer, you know the sacrifice these children have to go through day in and day out.
Just imagine looking out your window and watching the world go by but you can't experience it? For some they can't even leave the hospital and have to be in complete isolation.
The Starlight Children's foundation enabled my little sister and my family to travel to Hamilton Island and the Great Barrier Reef in 2002, a place my sister always dreamed about visiting. To see the smile on her face just from pure enjoyment is something I will never forget. For years my sister spoke about our trip to QLD and how much fun she had.
Not only do the Starlight Children's Foundation give children a wish, they also provide entertainment, fun, laughter and distractions for children whilst in hospital.
I hope to give other children the chance to experience this happiness and help Starlight put a smile on their faces. So please donate to help bring a smile to these children who are suffering.
I am doing this in memory of my sister, and for all the children who are suffering.
Thank you
